Robotic Hernia Repair Preceptorship

This program provides knowledge and skills to surgeons concerning the safe and effective use of Ethicon products in robotic hernia repair. Surgical techniques are reviewed primarily through live case observation and informal discussion with faculty. Instruction will focus on Ethicon products, including PROCEED® Surgical Mesh, ULTRAPRO ADVANCED™ Macroporous Partially Absorbable Mesh, ETHICON SECURESTRAP® Absorbable Strap Fixation Device, and STRATAFIX™ Knotless Tissue Control Devices.

Hernia Repair Preceptorship

This program is designed to provide knowledge and procedure-specific skills to surgeons performing inguinal and/or ventral hernia repair. Surgical techniques are reviewed primarily through live case observation and opportunities for informal discussion with faculty throughout the day. Instruction will focus on the safe and effective use of PROCEED® Surgical Mesh, ULTRAPRO ADVANCED™ Macroporous Partially Absorbable Mesh and ETHICON SECURESTRAP® Absorbable Strap Fixation Device

Open and Laparoscopic Abdominal Wall Reconstruction

This program is designed to provide surgeons with the knowledge and skills needed to perform open and laparoscopic inguinal and ventral abdominal wall reconstruction. Surgical techniques are reviewed with a mix of didactic instruction, videos, and case presentations. The hands-on lab provides an opportunity for participants to practice open and laparoscopic techniques while focusing on the safe and effective use of the latest Ethicon products, including ETHICON PHYSIOMESH™ Open Flexible Composite Mesh Device, ULTRAPRO ADVANCED™ Macroporous Partially Absorbable Mesh, PROCEED® Surgical Mesh, ETHICON SECURESTRAP® Open Absorbable Strap Fixation Device, and STRATAFIX™ Knotless Tissue Control Devices.

Complex Abdominal Wall Reconstruction and Management of Complications

This program is designed to provide surgeons with the knowledge and skills needed to perform complex abdominal wall reconstruction via open, laparoscopic, and robotic approaches. Surgical techniques are reviewed with a mix of didactic instruction, videos, and case presentations. The hands-on lab provides an opportunity for participants to practice advanced hernia repair technique while focusing on the safe and effective use of the latest Ethicon products, including ETHICON PHYSIOMESH™ Open Flexible Composite Mesh Device, PROCEED® Surgical Mesh, ULTRAPRO ADVANCED™ Macroporous Partially Absorbable Mesh, ETHICON SECURESTRAP® Open Absorbable Strap Fixation Device, and STRATAFIX™ Knotless Tissue Control Devices.

Multispecialty Symposium

This program addresses the safe and effective use of energy, stapling, wound closure and other laparoscopic instrumentation in a variety of Bariatric, Colorectal, Hernia and General surgery procedures.. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in discussions regarding the latest advances in minimally invasive surgical techniques. Also covered are patient selection, procedural indications and contraindications, techniques, management of potential complications, pre-op challenges, and increasing procedural acceptance by OR personnel. Participants will practice minimally invasive techniques in a hands-on animate lab.
